A relocated workers' cottage from Brisbane sensitively responds to its new setting, re-contextualised on a regional site while preserving its original character. Careful consideration was given to the restoration of the cottage, complemented by a contemporary kitchen addition that balances heritage with modern living.
An external deck extends the living spaces into the surrounding landscape, providing a place to engage with the surrounding views. The project explores the relationship between adaptation, preservation, and contemporary regional living.
